Ajman, one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates, smaller than Dubai and Abu Dhabi and located along the Arabian Gulf near Sharjah, has introduced a new law to regulate rental relations. The law was issued to improve legal clarity, protect the rights of landlords and tenants, and support stability in the real estate sector.
Under the new legislation, Ajman has established a Rental Dispute Resolution Centre to replace the previous committee. The centre will handle rental disputes through transparent and efficient legal procedures, including properties in free zones. The law aims to speed up case resolution, enhance transparency, boost investor confidence, and strengthen Ajman’s property market.
